Richard J. Rafuls is an associate in the civil litigation practice group of Buckner, Shifrin, Etter, Dugan & Bradfute, P.A. He focuses his practice on defending first party property claims. He defends lawsuits arising from windstorms, water, fire and other perils. His experience includes drafting and arguing motions; negotiating settlements; preparing responsive pleadings; as well as propounding and responding to discovery.
Mr. Rafuls received his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, where he graduated cum laude. While at Shepard Broad College of Law, Mr. Rafuls served as the Goodwin Editor for the Nova Law Review as well as competed nationally for both Moot Court and the NSU Trial Association. As an advocate for Nova Southeastern University, Mr. Rafuls was recognized both regionally and nationally for his abilities in writing and oral advocacy.
